Several months ago someone requested a rainy day math mystery, and I had the suggestion sitting in my 'to-make' list for quite a while before I could get around to developing the mystery story, activity and video hook for it. But now, I'm happy to say, it's finally almost ready and on the way! Read on for a sneak peek into the mystery story and video hook.
If you are experiencing lots of rainy weather, and the kids are sick of being stuck inside, this mystery story is an ideal way to sneak in some fun math practice at home or in the classroom.
Introducing the new Math Mystery, The Case of the Never-Ending Rain. So much rain is falling upon Mathattan, that floods and other issues are becoming a concern! Turns out, something is wrong, and only a brilliant math detective will be able to solve how to fix it. Check out the (optional) video hook below to set the mystery story for your student detectives.
Your student detectives will be tasked to solve how to fix the Weather Control Board. So, in this mystery, solving the math correctly will unlock key clues that will help solve what part is needed and where to place it on the device to be able to adjust weather conditions again.
I have almost finished the 2nd grade edition and will release it next week. Other grade editions for different math worksheets are in the making too and will be available over time. Which grade math worksheet editions do you want to see for this Rainy Day Math Mystery?
