Monthly Writing Prompt with a Visual #2

Last month I announced that I would aim to get a free writing prompt out every month this year to keep as writing lesson ideas or to use as a quick go to emergency sub lesson plan. Continue reading to find your free February 2020 writing prompt.  

I think this one will be a fun writing prompt if you have any Minecraft fans. 

You can download the image writing prompt below and laminate it to put in a writing prompt box, or to add to a folder as you collect these monthly. If you don't want to print, bookmark this page and simply show the prompt via your IWB, share via Google Drive/Classroom, or other digital devices being used in your classroom

Implementation and Guide Suggestions:

• ​Explain how you think you ended up inside the game.
• Describe how you feel as you observe your surroundings. 
• How do you escape? How do you return to the real world? Write about your journey to figuring out how to get back home. 

Story Challenge: What conflicts do you face within the game world? How do you overcome them. Aim for at least three obstacles you encounter during your story.
