Writing something from scratch can be a challenging for most. Mix that in with other elements that make a great piece and it can become messy and frustrating for some kids. However, with these new monthly writing prompt posts, I will aim to provide something interesting (age and topic appeal will vary from month to month) with some notes and structured boundaries to help guide your students to write something that consists of more than two lines.
Because I absolutely LOVE doing writing lessons like these, I want to share more with you during this year 2020. So, I'm going to make it a monthly habit to give you a visual writing prompt FREE with some implementation suggestions. You can sign up to my newsletter to stay updated when the free monthly writing prompt is available.
So, here is my first writing prompt to share with you for 2020!
You can download the image writing prompt below and laminate it to put in a writing prompt box, or to add to a folder as you collect these monthly. If you don't want to print, bookmark this page and simply show the prompt via your IWB, share via Google Drive/Classroom, or other digital devices being used in your classroom
