With all the chocolate eggs and bunnies at the supermarkets, how can you forget that Easter is just around the corner?
Thanks to my teachers I will always have fond memories of the magic and wonder they put in the lessons building up to Easter. The moment the teacher would start talking about the Easter holiday, every child’s face would light up. That is why I have eight ‘egg-cellent’ Easter Activities to check out that will liven the classroom atmosphere this year! ACTIVITY #1 : Easter Egg Math Easter activities don’t just need to be for arts and crafts! This super fun activity requires students to work through math clues to solve which egg is the Mystery Egg. Students need to use their number skills to eliminate possible eggs until there is only one egg left standing! Make the activity more exciting by adding a treat to the correct mystery egg and rocks to the rest! For more info on how to implement this activity check out this extra blog post.
ACTIVITY #2: “What’s the Math Question?”
This is a great way to get the students creative while using their math skills. Each student is given a card and must use the information on the card to create their own Easter themed math question. This is also a great way for students to self-regulate their own learning by checking one another’s work!

ACTIVITY #5: Get crafty with these awesome papier mache Easter baskets! The linked tutorial also shows you how to make your own papier mache glue but PVA glue can work just as well also!
ACTIVITY #6: Have the students create their own Easter hat. Each year our school does a Easter Hat parade during assembly! It’s such a great way for the whole school and community to get involved! The kids (and teachers) love it!
ACTIVITY #7: Get the students in the Easter spirit with this fun reading mystery. Something strange has happened to the Easter eggs of Tale Town. Students must use their skills in reading, comprehension, critical thinking and deductive reasoning to figure out which suspects to eliminate from the list of possibilities. ACTIVITY #8: The students will be hopping with excitement with this fun-filled Easter Math Quest. Send the students on an Easter adventure where they must use their math skills to help the Easter Bunny retrieve jis lost Golden Egg!
