This is one of my best kept secrets! This is a huge TIME SAVER. Every morning when my students come in, they get out their journal and start writing! This helps students get into the routine of the day while listening to announcements, putting away their backpacks, and allows teachers to start the day!
This yearlong journal set is perfect for sneaking in writing in a fun way. This also can become part of a writing portfolio that is sent home at the end of the year. I also love to show it during conferences so parents can see their writing progress throughout the year.
This file includes:
Week # 1 through 40
Each week includes 4 journals labeled Monday – Thursday and includes a Friday Fun Sheet
Themed Weeks include topics such as:
★Start of school, amusement park, cruise, camping, New York, chef, Australia, insects, jungle, dinosaurs, monsters, fairy tales, football, England, farming, fishing trip, airplanes, being a teacher, Antarctica, submarine, China, space, France, Cinderella, pet shop, Star Wars, inventions, superheroes, writing a story, safari, wizards, veterinarian, baseball, television station owner, royalty, race car driving, Scotland, gardening, gaming, and end of year.
Behavior Alert (for 'bad' behavior) and a Behavior Praise (for outstanding behavior) half-page note to send home to parents.Free fill-in-the-blank apology letter included too!
I always keep a big stack of Behavior Alert and Behavior Praise notes on a clipboard ready to go! I only use the Alerts as needed. However, I try and send home a Behavior Praise to a student every few days. A great way to make sure every students receives a Praise note is at the beginning of the month, write each student's name on one.
There are multiple behaviors you can check off on the Behavior Alerts and Praises and a blank spot to write your own. Three lines on the bottom are for parent, student & teacher signature.
Enjoy this quick, easy and consistent behavior management technique! This product also includes a FREE fill-in-the-blank student apology letter and chart to keep track of Praise & Alert notes.

Forming sentences is very important for young learners or those with autism. This activity uses real-life pictures for easy recognition of common objects and sight words as sentence starters. It is perfect for early readers. This is also an activity to practice identifying the attributes of what and the number of a group of items.
