Get your students engaged with a high-stakes investigation! In “The Case of the Super Bad Superhero,” students must track down a rogue hero who is causing chaos in the city of Mathhattan. Your students will be fully engaged and motivated by this fun detective story as they complete their math worksheets to save the day!

Please note: This Kindergarten edition utilizes a special “5 W’s” format (Who, What, When, Where, Why). Students will read simple words/phrases, cut out the suspect and location picture profiles, and paste them into a special Case File Template as they solve each clue!

To crack the code and catch the rogue superhero, students must apply their early math skills across five targeted math worksheets:

• Clue 1 Math Worksheets (WHEN): Addition without pictures (sums 1-10).
• Clue 2 Math Worksheets (WHAT): Counting objects (less than 20).
• Clue 3 Math Worksheets (WHERE): Number recognition (Mystery Picture coloring).
• Clue 4 Math Worksheets (WHO): Subtraction without pictures (within 10).
• Clue 5 Math Worksheets (WHY): Counting using Ten Frames (less than 20).

(Note: Comparing answers will be required in some clues, e.g., finding the greatest answer or lowest number answer to eliminate suspects).
