This is a comprehensive review that can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. We recommend pacing it by one clue at a time, allowing students to eliminate suspects as they go!
Q: Is the Volume clue difficult?
A: Clue 3 focuses on Standard 5.MD.C.5. Students will apply the volume formula ($V = l \times w \times h$) to rectangular prisms. It’s great practice for moving beyond counting unit cubes.
Q: Do students need to simplify fractions?
A: Yes! In Clue 2 (Multiplying Fractions), students are expected to reduce fractions to their lowest terms to find the matching letter for the code.
