Common Questions for this 3rd Grade Math Review
Q: Does this cover numbers up to 1,000 or 10,000?
A: It covers both! The mystery is **scaffolded**. Clues 1 and 2 focus on numbers within 1,000 to build confidence. Clues 3, 4, and 5 increase the challenge to numbers within 10,000. It is great for helping students bridge that gap.
Q: Is this theme only for Australian students?
A: Not at all! While the setting is the Australian Outback (which kids find cool and adventurous!), the math is universal standard place value suitable for US, UK, and Canadian curriculums.
Q: How does differentiation work with these?
A: That’s our secret weapon! Many of our stories are available for other grades, so you can “clue swap” with the 2-6 grade packs. We even have a blog post explaining how: learn how to differentiate here.
