To solve the test twist, students must solve 8 clues that cover all 1st-grade math domains. (Note: This is a comprehensive review; some skills may only have one question.)

• Counting & Numbers: Count to fill in missing numbers, counting objects, numbers in word form, skip counting (2s, 5s, 10s), comparing numbers.
• Place Value: Base 10 block models, 10 more or less, missing addends (teen numbers), build two-digit numbers.
• Data and Graphing: Tally graphs, create a bar graph, answer questions about data, add three one-digit addends.
• Measurement: Measure lengths with non-standard units (stack cubes).
• Geometry: Identify and match 2-D shapes to names.
• Tell and Write Time: Tell and write time in hours and half-hours.
• Addition and Subtraction: No regrouping, add single-digit to double-digit, add multiples of ten, subtract single-digit from double-digit, subtract multiples of ten, missing addends to 20.
