🗺️ How to Play: Pirate Plank Bridge

Our pirate is stranded, and there is a hungry crocodile in the water! You need to build a bridge across the gap by spelling the mystery word correctly.

  1. Choose Your Map: Select your spelling list from the dropdown menu. Choose a fun theme like Ocean Creatures, or challenge yourself with Academic Levels 1 through 6!

  2. The Spyglass Reveal: When the game starts, look through the pirate’s spyglass! The target word will flash on the screen for 3 seconds while the computer reads it out loud. Memorize it!

  3. Build the Bridge: Use the keyboard to spell the word in the exact correct order. Every time you guess the right letter, a wooden plank appears to help the pirate cross the water.

  4. Use Your Ears: Did you forget the word? Just click the 🔊 Hear Word button to listen to it again!

  5. Beware the Crocodile: If you guess the wrong letter, the hungry crocodile will snap its jaws. Spell carefully!
