Welcome to The Ice Cream Stack! 🍦 Step into the summer parlor and get ready to scoop! Understanding Number Bonds (pairs of numbers that add up to a specific target) is a crucial foundation for mental math. Once students internalize these bonds, everything from bridging tens to complex subtraction becomes a breeze.

In this game, you are trying to build the tallest ice cream cone possible by pairing up the correct flavors!

How to Play:

  1. Select Your Flavor Level: Use the dropdown menu to choose your difficulty. Level 1 starts with basic bonds to 10, while Level 4 challenges you with mixed bonds all the way up to 100!

  2. Check the Magic Number: Look at the yellow sign at the top. This is your target number (e.g., 10).

  3. Find the Match: Look at the base scoop sitting on your cone. Then, look at the three flying scoops hovering above. Click the flying scoop that adds together with your base scoop to equal the Magic Number!

  4. Stack it Up! If you are right, the scoop will drop down and stack perfectly. If you are wrong, the scoops will shake, and you’ll need to try another flavor.
