How to Use the Digital Classroom Vault
-
Teacher Setup: When you first load the page, you will see the “Setup Panel.” This is only for your eyes!
-
Set the Code: Enter a numeric code (up to 8 digits). This could be the answer to a specific question in your lesson, like “42” or “1066.”
-
Set the Reward: Type the secret message you want to reveal when they succeed. Examples:
-
“The treasure is hidden inside the dictionary!”
-
“Congratulations! You earned 10 minutes of free time.”
-
“The next clue is taped under the teacher’s desk.”
-
-
Lock It: Click “Lock the Vault.” The screen will transform into a high-security steel safe.
-
Student Mode: Project this screen on your whiteboard. Students must enter the correct code using the keypad. If they get it wrong, the vault shakes and denies access. If they get it right, it bursts open to reveal your message!
3 Fun Ways to Use This in Class
-
The Gatekeeper: Use the answer to the final question of a Math Mystery worksheet as the code. Students can’t “escape” class until they unlock the vault!
-
The Reward Box: Hide a “Homework Pass” inside the vault. The first team to solve a riddle gets to come up and type the code.
-
The Reveal: Use the vault to reveal a surprise activity, like a class party or a movie day.
