After listening to some feedback, I decided to make this new Reading Mystery to focus on nouns, verbs, and adjectives. Reading is still a must to check the context of how each word is used – plus I recommend requiring students to highlight nouns, verbs, and adjectives found within the text (assign a different color for each).
Critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills are also required to solve the mystery! Who do they think is responsible for the Knight’s Tail situation?
