I am adding these updates to existing mystery packets so that if you already own the printable mystery worksheets, you won’t have to purchase the digital mystery worksheets again.
Please note that these digital worksheet updates are different to my CSI Digital Math Games full of graphics. These new distance learning updates to existing mystery packets are giving you the same printable worksheets with a digital text box overlay on Google Slides to enable completion without the need to print.
In this post, I will:
-
- Highlight which mysteries I have updated so far and how to retrieve them if you already own them.
Provide a free sample so that you can trial and test.
Provide some support information for common troubleshooting issues experienced with Google Slides.

These same free math mystery packets can be found on my TpT store too.
You will need to make a copy of the slides before being able to edit or share with your class via Google Classroom.
If assigning to your students, you will need to make a copy for each student to complete. Otherwise changes to the ‘Master File’ will change how everyone accessing the link sees it. So please be sure to take this vital step of making a copy first (that is also why when you first see the slides it appears to be ‘view only’ – that’s because you are viewing my master file and you need to make a copy to your drive to edit the text boxes I’ve placed on the worksheets.
GOOGLE SLIDES TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS & FAQS
To begin with, when you first open the link it will be set as ‘View Only’ – this is to stop changes happening to my Master file that I share with everyone. However, I have enabled the ability to ‘Make a copy’ of the slides to your drive. After making a copy, you should be able to complete the Math Mystery worksheets without having to print.
To Make a Copy of the Google Slides, go to ‘FILE’, then select ‘Make a Copy from the drop-down list. Then, save to your drive.
The text boxes I’ve added to the worksheet pages will allow entry of math answers and letter boxes to complete the activity without having to print! This is also ideal if you are working towards setting up a paperless classroom.
The rows on the Possible suspects page can be deleted as students eliminate characters.
