Writing something from scratch can be a challenging for most. Mix that in with other elements that make a great piece and it can become messy and frustrating for some kids. However, with these new monthly writing prompt posts, I will aim to provide something interesting (age and topic appeal will vary from month to month) with some notes and structured boundaries to help guide your students to write something that consists of more than two lines.
Because I absolutely LOVE doing writing lessons like these, I want to share more with you during this year 2020. Implementation and Guide Suggestions:
Describe how you feel as you watch the giant rock begin to crack.
What’s inside the rock? What happens to you after it cracks open? Is it something good or something bad? How does it change your situation?
Story Challenge: Create a conflict that occurs after the rock opens up. Then, write how your character progresses and resolves the conflict to end the story.
