This free sequencing resource is designed to help students master information report structure and practice finding the main idea of each paragraph—all with a Thanksgiving theme.
This is a fast, no-prep activity. All your students need is a pair of scissors and glue!
Print out the information report structure template page (Stencil 1) and the page with the jumbled paragraphs (Stencil 2).
Have scissors and glue ready.
Students read the jumbled paragraphs on Stencil 2.
They cut out the paragraphs and sort them next to the correct sub-headings on Stencil 1.
Once they are confident, they paste them down to complete the basic information report on Thanksgiving.
